How to make an LC method work on all LC systems

As an analyst, you often look at published LC-MS/MS methods from the literature, but the reported separation doesn't always work as described. You also know the importance of LC system configuration when developing a new method for production use. To bridge the gap between published methods and practical results, this webinar will feature Waters experts as they discuss system dwell volume, system dispersion, and how to transfer a method to another system with different column dimensions and particle sizes. They will also explain the theory behind the tool used for LC method transfer, providing a solid foundation for selecting the best column dimensions to maximize separation performance.

Who should attend?
  • Clinical and Forensics scientists developing LC methods
  • Lab directors and managers.
What you will learn:
  • Key parameters to consider when transferring a method successfully—without the need to re-develop it through trial and error.
  • How to calculate and adjust gradient step volumes to compensate for differences in system dwell volume.
  • Practical examples demonstrating method transfer across systems.

Presenter: Guy Boisvert (Clinical and Forensics Chemistry Account Manager, Waters)

With more than 28 years of experience at Waters, in different roles, Guy is providing some guidance in chemistry product selection and support after sales. His goal is to minimize your valuable time in method development by selecting the best product first. Guy is presenting on topics and specific aspects that are important to you.
