Metrohm: Introduction to Localized Electrochemical Techniques
Metrohm: Introduction to Localized Electrochemical Techniques

Dr. Michaela Nebel, Product Manager at Sensolytics GmbH, gives an overview of the theory of localized electrochemical techniques with a focus on Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy (SECM), Scanning Droplet Cell technique (SDC), and Scanning Electrochemical Cell Microscopy (SECCM). Then, application examples from different fields in electrochemistry, including electrocatalysis, corrosion research, and sensors are highlighted.

In recent years, the rising inclusion of localized electrochemical analysis into classical electrochemical methods has allowed for more comprehensive characterization of sample surfaces from various fields of application.

Key learnings of this webinar:
  • Theoretical background of localized electrochemical techniques with a focus on Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy (SECM), Scanning Droplet Cell technique (SDC), and Scanning Electrochemical Cell Microscopy (SECCM)
  • Guidelines for the selection of a localized technique fitting your individual research application
  • Practical considerations for the use of the respective analysis method
  • Selected applications from different fields of research, including electrocatalysis, corrosion research, and sensors

Presenter: Dr. Michaela Nebel (Product Manager at Sensolytics GmbH)
