SeparationScience: From Matrix to Mass Spec: Mastering IP-RP Mobile Phases in Oligo Analysis

This presentation provides a comprehensive guide to oligonucleotide analysis, covering structural fundamentals, chemical modifications, analytical challenges, and best practices for sample preparation and LC-MS optimization. Attendees will gain insights into the unique properties of oligonucleotides, including their polarity, reactivity, and interactions with biological matrices, and how these influence chromatographic behavior and mass spectrometric detection.

By attending this webinar, you will:
  • Understand the structural components and modifications of oligonucleotides
  • Identify key analytical challenges and how to overcome them using ion-pairing and mobile phase strategies
  • Learn best practices for sample preparation, column selection, and system maintenance
  • Optimize LC-MS parameters for improved sensitivity and reproducibility
  • Apply practical tips to enhance method robustness and reduce instrument downtime
Who should attend?
  • This webinar is tailored for scientists, researchers, and industry professionals working in oligonucleotide development, characterization, and quantification—especially those involved in LC-MS method development and troubleshooting.

Presenter: Namrata Saxena (Technical Manager, Phenomenex)

Namrata Saxena is the Technical Manager for the Asia-Pacific region at Phenomenex, based in Australia. She is part of the global technical team, providing expert support for a wide range of chromatographic challenges, particularly in the characterization of biotherapeutics and emerging cell and gene therapy modalities. Her role includes delivering technical training, hosting seminars and webinars, and contributing to scientific content development.
