Insights into Small Molecule Applications

Dive into real world applications with multi-reflecting time of flight technology
Join us for in this second part of the Xevo MRT in Action series where we take you into our application laboratories explore different workflows from the beginning to the end for metabolite identification and PFAS analysis
Register now for the demo series and see for yourself how Xevo MRT can expand the possibilities in your research.
Why Should You Attend?
- Learn about the operation of the novel Xevo MRT MS technology and see it in Action!
- Experience the benefits of a system that delivers mass resolution consistent over a broad m/z range independent of scan speed.
- Discover ultimate flexibility with the all new DATA Convert application which converts data sets into the universal file format, mzML.
The session will conclude with a live Q&A where members of the Waters Discovery MS portfolio science team will be on hand to answer all of your questions.
Presenter: Isabel Riba (Principal Sales Applications Chemist, Waters Corporation)
Isabel is a pharmacist who obtained her PhD in Mass Spectrometry at UMIST, Manchester, UK. She has worked as a research scientist in university and pharmaceutical companies with focus on analytical chemistry and structural mechanisms for peptide fragmentation. In the last years she has worked at Waters Corporation in Manchester, as a demo chemist working on different applications for detection of small molecules, mainly using ion mobility mass spectrometry (IMS) as a orthogonal technique for more accurate compound identification.
Presenter: Dr. Hania Khoury-Hollins ( Principal Scientist, Waters Corporation)
Hania Khoury-Hollins is a scientist and researcher at Waters Corporation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in science, which laid the foundation for her scientific pursuits. In 2001, Hania earned her master’s degree in Toxicology, deepening her understanding of the impact of chemicals on living organisms. In 2005 she successfully defended her Ph.D. in physical chemistry from University René Descartes - Paris V (France). After undertaking several different projects in academia Hania spent some time working at Agilent before joining Waters.
At Waters, her work revolves around developing cutting-edge analytical techniques and their applications with a focus on Liquid Chromatography Coupled with High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry (LC-HRMS). Her expertise encompasses a diverse range of applications, including drug development, proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics. More recently, Hania has been developing applications strategies for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
