The Analytical Scientist: State-of-the-Art Sample Preparation – Innovation to Sustainability

The Analytical Scientist is hosting a live roundtable discussion on sample preparation on October 21 at 3:00–4:00 PM (CEST) / 9:00–10:00 AM (EDT).

Sample preparation has seen remarkable progress over the past few decades – from powerful new technologies and deeper fundamental insights to a wealth of breakthrough applications. Yet despite this momentum, sample prep is still too often seen as an “art” rather than a rigorous science, or as merely application-driven.

This interactive session will challenge that perception by bringing together leading voices in the field to discuss how cutting-edge innovations are driving efficiency, precision, and reproducibility – while also addressing the growing imperative for greener, more sustainable laboratory practices.

Join us for a dynamic roundtable conversation exploring the latest advances, best practices, and forward-looking strategies shaping the future of sample preparation – and take the opportunity to put your questions directly to the experts.

Presenter: Marcela Segundo (Professor, Member of Executive Board, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto)

Presenter: Marcello Locatelli (Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry, Department of Science, University "G. d' Annunzio" Chieti-Pescara, Italy)

Presenter: Stig Pedersen-Bjergaard (Professor, University of Oslo, Norway)
