The holiday season often means extra downtime for overworked scientists. Infrequent use or improper shutdown for your HPLC instrument can lead to blockages, biological growth, and decreased performance. Before you head out for the holidays, there are proactive steps you should consider for maintaining and servicing your HPLC. In this webinar we will cover how to properly shut down your instrumentation, so that it is ready to run as soon as the lab starts up again. We will also cover how to restart and what to do if your instrument was improperly stored. While the focus will be on Agilent equipment, we will cover many best practices across the analytical industry. With proper care, both you and your HPLC can return to work refreshed and ready for action.

Melissa Goodlad is an Application Engineer providing applications assistance and technical support for Agilent’s HPLC columns and consumables. Before joining Agilent, Melissa was completing her PhD in Physical Chemistry at UC Merced studying nanoparticle self-assemblies.
