Bruker: QC simplified: Streamlining Quality Control in Small Molecule Research

Quality control and quality assurance are cornerstones of good scientific practice. However, tools for ensuring instrument fitness, monitoring system performance, and evaluating data quality are lacking in the small molecule bioanalysis fields, creating an unmet need that labs are left to solve individually.

In this webinar, we will discuss QSee™, a unique solution integrating tools for quality control in small molecule bioanalysis. QSee™ allows simple and automated instrument fitness assessment, and long-term instrument performance monitoring.

Dr. Sven Meyer will introduce the QSee™ solution, and Dr. Christoph Trautwein as well as Dr. Jannik Spregel will discuss how their lab has been using the QSee™ suite in their ongoing metabolomics research.

  • QSee™ Performance Test: A convenient and user-friendly software solution that automates the standardized acquisition and analysis of a performance testing mixture. It enables users to monitor system fitness and long-term performance, while also helping to reduce the complexity of troubleshooting and instrument servicing.
  • QSee™ 8-Mix: A stable mixture of eight water-soluble small molecule compounds, designed for use with the QSee Performance Test software to enable standardized data acquisition and analysis.
  • TwinScape™: A cloud-based digital twin solution for storing and comparing instrument health and quality control data. It facilitates long-term monitoring of instrument performance and paves the way for predictive maintenance, supporting more efficient and quality-assured operations.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how the QSee™ Performance Test Solution can support your lab's quality control workflows
  • Understand the value of longitudinal and cross-platform system performance monitoring
  • Discover the benefits of TwinScape™ for system performance monitoring

Who should attend:

  • Researchers in metabolomics and lipidomics interested in automating quality control workflows for small molecule bioanalysis
  • Investigators and lab heads searching for efficient, easy to implement performance monitoring tools for LC-timsTOF - devices

Presenter: Christoph Trautwein, Ph.D., Director Core Facility Metabolomics, University of Tübingen Hospital/M3 Research Center, Tübingen, Germany

Dr. Christoph Trautwein is the head of the Core Facility Metabolomics at the Medical Faculty University of Tübingen and research group leader for Metabolomics & Systems Medicine. In his labs, Dr. Trautwein and his team apply latest quantitative NMR spectroscopy, four-dimensional timsTOF LC-MS and high-resolution MALDI Imaging based metabolomics and lipidomics. His personal research interests are cancer, neurodegeneration, microbiome research and quantitative precision diagnostics.

Presenter: Jannik Sprengel, Ph.D., Core Facility Metabolomics, University of Tübingen Hospital/M3 Research Center, Tübingen, Germany

Dr. Jannik Sprengel is the deputy head and laboratory supervisor of the Core Facility Metabolomics at the M3 Research Center of the University Clinic of Tübingen. As trained analytical food chemist, he brings more than 6 years of experience in chromatography and mass spectrometry to the Metabolomic field through his Ph.D. in environmental chemistry and previous work as analytical scientist for the food monitoring authorities.

Presenter: Sven Meyer, Ph.D., Applications Development, Bruker Daltonics, Bremen, Germany

Sven Meyer holds a doctoral degree in chemistry with a background in structural elucidation of novel natural products based on NMR and Mass Spectrometry. He is with Bruker since 15 years, and is working in the Applications Development team. His current focus is on small molecule applications using the timsTOF and timsMetabo platforms.
