Optimizing Micro LC Separations: Fundamentals and Recommendations

Micro LC is a technique that is utilized to increase sensitivity of analysis and work with limited amounts of samples while reducing solvent consumption and waste generation. In this talk, we will discuss some of the tools that are now available in terms of new column technologies, injection modes (trap and elute), and separation condition strategies that can help with the miniaturization and optimization of micro scale separations.
Agenda:
- Micro LC Overview and Benefits
- Micro LC Columns and Traps
- Micro LC Traps Design and Selectivities
- Optimizing Separations with Trap and Elute Workflows
Who should attend:
This webinar is for people that want to learn more about new µLC-column technologies as well as people who want to optimize their µLC analysis workflow.
Presenter: Sergio Guazzotti (Business Development Manager for Micro and Nano LC for Phenomenex in Europe)
Prior to this role, Sergio worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific for 11 years, always in the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division, covering areas of HPLC, LC-MS, GC/ GC-MS, IC and sample prep. Sergio obtained his Master and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California. Earlier in his career Sergio was faculty at the University of California San Diego in La Jolla, USA and held several positions at Nanostream Inc. in Pasadena, California, USA
