This two-part webinar series will explore how Shimadzu's CLAM-2040 integrates with LC-MS/MS technology to standardize routine processes, reduce manual handling, and support reliable laboratory operations. Attendees will hear from two industry-leading experts on how the CLAM-2040 successfully automated procedures to mitigate common sources of variation, provide consistent sample preparation, and boost laboratory performance.

Dr. Stephen Master has become a fixture in the field of clinical laboratory science, boasting many successful appointments with several distinguished institutions. His passion for laboratory improvement has led him to explore many facets of novel technology, machine learning, and applications of bioinformatics.

Presenter: Jeremy P. Smith, MS (Marketing Manager - Forensics and Clinical Research, Shimadzu Scientific Instruments)

Jeremy serves as the Market Manager of Clinical and Forensics at Shimadzu Scientific Instruments. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology, a master’s degree in clinical toxicology, and is pursuing a doctoral degree from Oklahoma State University. Much of his 18-year career has been spent developing clinical and toxicological assays on LC-MS/MS technology.

Presenter: Nazim Boutaghou, Ph.D. (Life Science Product Manager, Shimadzu Scientific Instruments)

Nazim Boutaghou received a Master’s degree in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Bordeaux. Nazim later joined Dr. Richard Coles’ group at Louisiana State University in New Orleans to advance his work in Mass Spectrometry. He is currently the product manager for the Life Sciences at Shimadzu Scientific Instruments.

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments)

Milaan is a product specialist for the Life Science product line at Shimadzu Scientific Instruments serving as a technical expert for the clinical laboratory automation module and MALDI products. He received his BSc. in Biochemistry and MSc. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Waterloo in Canada under the supervision of Dr. Janusz Pawliszyn.
