Thermo Fisher Scientific: Proteome Discoverer Software Online Workshops

Last year’s introduction of Thermo Scientific TMTpro 32/35plex represents a significant enhancement of multiplexing capability of reporter ion-based quantitation. Thermo Fisher Scientific scientists will describe the innovation in detail and provide guidance covering areas of the labelling chemistry, data acquisition method optimization, and data processing in Thermo Scientific Proteome Discoverer software.

This free online workshop will give the participants an opportunity to catch up on the newest developments and directly ask questions to the panel of experts.

These topics are on the agenda:

1. Sample preparation and labeling with TMTpro 32/35plex reagents (Dustin Frost):

  • Overview of TMT and TMTpro mass tag chemistry for multiplex quantitation
  • Sample preparation workflow tools to increase the depth of coverage and improve protein quantitation
  • Discussion of deuterium label reagent specifics; practical tips

2. LC-MS acquisition strategies for the analysis of TMT samples using the Thermo Scientific Orbitrap platforms (Julia Kraegenbring)

  • nanoLC recommendations: gradients, columns, setup
  • MS2 acquisition strategies using Orbitrap MS platforms
  • SPS MS3 and SPS MS3 with Real-Time Search acquisition strategies using Orbitrap Tribrid MS platforms

3. Step-by-step guide to TMTpro 32/35plex data processing in Proteome Discoverer (Michaela Scigelova)

  • Quan method and FASTA management
  • Study setup, study factors
  • Workflow settings
  • Sample groups, generated ratios
  • Detailed results review

Presenter: Dustin Frost (Scientist, Thermo Fisher Scientific)

Presenter: Julia Kraegenbring (Senior Application Scientist, Thermo Fisher Scientific)
