Technology Networks: Building Reliable Lateral Flow Assays: Real-World Case Studies Reviewed

In today’s evolving diagnostic landscape, limitations in assay sensitivity and stability can quickly become barriers to reliable at-home testing. Developers and manufacturers must balance performance, scalability, and speed to market while ensuring consistent results.

This webinar examines practical approaches to strengthening lateral flow assay performance, with a focus on optimized sample handling and strategic material selection. Through real-world case studies, attendees will gain insight into improving signal quality, enhancing reproducibility, and supporting more robust test design.

Join us to explore actionable strategies that can help advance dependable, scalable diagnostic solutions and expand access to effective testing worldwide.

Attend this webinar to:
  • Understand how to enhance signal quality and assay consistency through assay re-formatting and optimized sample handling techniques
  • Explore the impact of key reagents and nitrocellulose material optimization on lateral flow assay performance
  • Learn about the advancements that enable shorter development timelines and improved conjugate stability
  • Gain insight into improving assay sensitivity through innovative approaches and real-world case studies

Presenter: Jackie Day (Senior Commercial Project Manager, MilliporeSigma)

After receiving degrees in biology and chemistry, Jackie began her career in structure-based drug design at Pfizer. She spent a decade expressing, purifying, and crystallizing proteins for x-ray data collection and structure solving before transitioning to MilliporeSigma’s specialty assays group. There, she contributed to multiple product launches, including work on nanodiscs, in vitro diagnostic kits, flow cytometry assays, and Duolink, leveraging her strong background in protein chemistry and immunoassays. Her work supporting the Duolink Customs offering led her to the attention of the Assay Development Services group, where she now acts as senior commercial project manager.
