Thermo Fisher Scientific: From Sample to Structure: Crosslinking MS Made Practical

Crosslinking mass spectrometry (XL-MS) is transforming how researchers map protein–protein and protein–nucleic acid interactions, delivering structural insights at peptide-level resolution. But achieving high-confidence results requires an optimized, end-to-end workflow.

Join us for this webinar to learn how to implement practical XL-MS strategies that improve crosslink detection, sensitivity, and data confidence. Our expert speaker will walk through best practices across sample preparation, advanced LC-MS acquisition, and data analysis using Thermo Scientific™ Proteome Discoverer™ software with the XlinkX algorithm.

You Will Learn

  • How to optimize sample preparation and enrichment strategies to enhance crosslink identification
  • Advanced LC-MS acquisition strategies, including real-time library search (RTLS) for improved sensitivity
  • Best practices for analyzing crosslinking data in Proteome Discoverer software with XlinkX
  • Approaches for visualizing and interpreting interaction data to support structural insights
  • Introduction to NuXL workflows for profiling protein–nucleic acid interactions and expanding interactomics capabilities

Speaker: Yi He (Marketing Manager, Thermo Fisher Scientific)

Dr. Yi He earned her PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Indiana University Bloomington. She was a research fellow and instructor at the University of Washington, applying structural proteomics to cardiovascular disease and diabetes research. In 2022, she joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as Vertical Marketing Manager for Structural Biology, focusing on crosslinking MS, protein structure, and protein–nucleic acid interactions.

Moderator: Weijing Liu (Senior Marketing Manager, Thermo Fisher Scientific)
