Resolve your separation challenges

Biphenyl stationary phases are increasingly used to resolve separations that challenge conventional C18 and phenyl chemistries, particularly for aromatic analytes and positional isomers. However, traditional biphenyl columns can suffer from elevated UV-detected bleed, limited pH stability, and inconsistent batch performance.

This presentation shows how a trifunctionally bonded biphenyl phase on a hybrid ethylene-bridged particle delivers balanced hydrophobic and aromatic selectivity with stable performance from pH 1.5–10 and ≥10× lower UV bleed. Inert column hardware further improves recovery of metal-sensitive analytes. Pharmaceutical, bioanalytical, and food/environmental examples demonstrate robust, reproducible separations.

What you will learn

  • Recognize limitations of traditional biphenyl phases affecting robustness and quantitation.
  • Explain trifunctional biphenyl design enabling balanced selectivity, wide pH stability.
  • Apply biphenyl selectivity and inert hardware to improve recovery.

Who should attend

This webinar is designed for you if you are a Pharma Method Developer, R&D Method Developer, or Bioanalytical Scientist looking to optimize and future proof your analytical methods.
