Advanced Imaging of Drug Contaminated Fingerprints & the latest in Cyclic IMS and Xevo MRT Imaging Innovation

Recent Advances in MS Imaging

Join the MS Imaging program team as we showcase the latest advances in MS Imaging technology and what they unlock for modern MS workflows. This seminar will explore how new MS Imaging capabilities enhance understanding complex biology, through enhanced speed, analytical depth, and experimental flexibility across direct analysis applications

Key takeaways
  • Review Recent Advances in MS Imaging Instrumentation
  • Gain insight into the latest developments improving sensitivity, spatial resolution, and speed.
  • Understand how to leverage MALDI Imaging alongside Cyclic IMS QToF Technology
  • Explore how ion mobility enhances separation, specificity, and confidence in compound identification.
  • Identify Drug Compounds in Fingerprints
  • Understand approaches for detecting and mapping drug contamination within latent fingerprints.
  • Apply MS Imaging to Forensic Workflows
  • Discover how chemical imaging complements traditional fingerprint analysis to strengthen forensic evidence.
Who should attend

This webinar is designed for:

Forensic Scientists & Crime Lab Professionals, Analytical & Mass Spectrometry Scientists, Pharmaceutical & Drug Research Scientists, Academic Researchers & Students, Instrument & Technology Specialists and MS Imaging specialists.

Don't miss it!

Presenter: Rohith Krishan (Doctoral Researcher, Sheffield Hallam University, UK)

Rohith Krishna is a Doctoral Researcher at Sheffield Hallam University’s (SHU) Centre for Mass Spectrometry Imaging, building upon the pioneering molecular fingerprinting techniques developed by Prof. Francese’s group.

A double Gold Medalist in Forensic Science, he has served as an Assistant Professor at Jain University and collaborated with the Gujarat Police Academy on large-scale toxicological screenings.

He is a qualified forensic professional in India with operational experience in cases involving narcotics and plant poisons.

His current research develops MS imaging approaches for detecting and mapping date rape drugs within fingermarks. By transforming latent prints into robust and multi-informative biometric and chemical evidence, Rohith aims to bridge the gap between academic innovation and real-world criminal investigative tools.

Presenter: Emmanuelle Claude (Principal Consulting Scientist, Waters Corporation)

Miss Emmanuelle Claude (Master in Fine Chemistry and Business and M.Phil in spectroscopy analysis in organic chemistry and biology) is a Consulting Scientist in the Scientific Operations Department, Wilmslow, UK.

She has been a Principal Scientist since 2014 and became a Consulting Scientist in 2021 and is part of the MS imaging team at Waters. The team evaluates and develops new applications & methods for imaging by both MALDI and DESI mass spectrometry, support sales with customers visit and demonstration laboratory worldwide.
