Agilent Technologies: Analysis of Bicycle® Molecules - Novel Medium Molecules
Agilent Technologies: Analysis of Bicycle® Molecules - Novel Medium Molecules

By attending this presentation you will:

  • Explore a range of chromatographic separation modes for Bicycle® molecules and their impurities.
  • Gain practical insights into the identification and characterization of impurities and degradation products.
  • Learn a systematic approach to developing effective separation methods.
  • Recognize best practices for optimizing separations to support analytical development and stability studies.

Event Overview

Bicycle® molecules are novel medium molecules and provide a unique set of challenges to separate and identify impurities and degradants. They are fully synthetic, short peptides that loop together into two constrained rings. This unique bicyclic shape allows them to mimic the target-binding capabilities of large antibodies while retaining the rapid tissue penetration and manufacturing advantages of small molecules.

The presentation covers a broad approach to achieving separation with Bicycle® molecules and will touch on a large range of separation modes.

Speaker: Andrew Feilden (Senior Director, Analytical Sciences, Bicycle Therapeutics)

Dr Feilden joined Bicycle in October 2022 where he leads the CMC analytical science team.  He has over 25 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry having worked for both CROs and large pharma.  His area of work has been around trace analysis and he is an expert in extractables and leachables.  He completed his degree and DPhil at the University of York.
