PerkinElmer: Clinical Mass Spectrometry: LC-MS/MS based confirmatory tests for Dried Blood Spot screening

In this Webinar series, PerkinElmer chromatography and mass spectrometry experts will share methods and insights on clinical applications of mass spectrometry that will help you increase your knowledge in this area. In our webinar series you will find out more about the QSight LC/MS/MS system, the ideal platform to maximize your laboratory operations.

Attendance is free of charge and all webinars will have an interactive Q&A session, all registrants will be sent a link to the recorded session.

The continued expansion of newborn screening programmes to include additional conditions increases the need to provide testing with the highest sensitivity, specificity and minimizing the false-positive rate. Some assays and analytes are particularly problematic.

In order to improve this situation we developed LC-MS/MS-based second-tier confirmatory tests using the QSight® MD Triple Quad LC-MS/MS to minimize the false-positive rate and increase the specificity of dried blood spot screening.

Key Learning Points:

  • New methods for specific and sensitive steroids profiling from DBS samples
  • Insights into developing analytical methods for separation and determination of isobaric compounds by UHPLC-MS/MS
  • How laminar flow tandem mass spectrometry with StayCleanTM technology can improve your laboratory operations with reliable results and low instrument downtime while maintaining sample throughputs and high sensitivity

Who should attend:

  • Analytical scientists; R&D managers; lab managers/supervisors; lab technicians/operators, LC-MS users
  • Academic laboratories performing analytical chemistry research,
  • State level or country level testing laboratories responsible for screening in their region
  • Contract testing laboratories performing targeted LC-MS testing
