Thermo Scientific: An Investigative Metabolomics Study on the Orbitrap Exploris 240 Mass Spectrometer: New Features, Optimized Methods and a Results Discussion

Learn how the Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Exploris 240 MS can maximize your Omics workflows, from the instrument capabilities itself to processing solutions to accelerate your path to confident results.

In this virtual series we will discuss proteomics quantitation workflows, such as LFQ, and data acquisition modes such DIA, PRM, and data analysis for proteomics applications. We will also cover metabolomics and lipidomics applications from method development, the use of Thermo Scientific Acquire X intelligent data acquisition workflow, and data analysis software solutions. All the RAW data presented will be available for download for offline processing.

Key learnings:

  • Key features and characteristics of the Orbitrap Exploris 240 mass spectrometer
  • An introduction to calibrations and method building made easy
  • An investigative mouse model study allows us to explore polar metabolites and introduce the novel AcquireX intelligent data acquisition workflow
  • Features of Compound Discoverer will be highlighted for flexible and reliable data processing for ultimate compound identifications

Presenter: Josef Ruzicka, Ph.D. (Senior Application Scientist, AMER Centers of Excellence)

LC-MS application and demo chemist for 14 years at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Focus on qualitative and quantitative analysis of small molecules on Orbitrap mass spectrometers.
