Waters Corporation: Benefits of IMS to MetID and Structural Elucidation
Waters Corporation: Benefits of IMS to MetID and Structural Elucidation

Ralf Laux will present BI’s Cyclic IMS data on the application and benefits of IMS to MetID and the structural elucidation of small molecule new chemical entities (NCE’s). Ian Wilson will share data on the use of IMS to study the Transacylation of Acyl Glucuronides.

What You Will Discover:

  • Benefits of IMS to MetID
  • Structural elucidation of new chemical entities (NCE’s)
  • Transacylation of Acyl Glucuronides
  • Ease and flexibility of Cyclic IMS to meet analytical needs

Presenter: Dr. Ralf Laux (Laboratory Supervisor, DMPK – Drug Metabolism, Boehringer Ingelheim, Germany)

Ralf Laux’s scientific career includes many years of experience in GC/LC-MS Quantification of PK studies, LC-MS/ LC-QTOF early PK-Profiling, and LC-QTOFMetIDand structure elucidation. He has been at BI since the late 1980’s and the Laboratory Supervisor DM&T2 in DMPK – Drug Metabolism since 2013.

Presenter: Dr. Ian Wilson (Chair in Drug Metabolism and Molecular ToxicologyProf. Imperial College, Imperial College, London, UK)

Ian Wilson joined Imperial College in2012. Prior to that he worked as a SeniorPrincipal Scientist in the Dept of DrugMetabolism and Pharmacokinetics at theAstraZeneca Research site in Cheshire (UK). Heis the author, or co-author, of some 480 papersor reviews, and has received a number ofawards in separation and analytical science. Hisresearch is directed towards the developmentof hyphenated techniques in chromatographyand their application to problems in drugmetabolism, toxicology andmetabonomics.
