There are thousands of anthropogenic organic compounds present in natural sources of water such as surface waters and riverbank filters. Polar organic contaminants such as pharmaceuticals, disinfectants a are some of most emerging contaminants and are included in current monitoring programmes.

Polar contaminants such as Glyphosate and haloacetic acids, pone a particular analytical challenge to laboratories performing water testing due to their chemical nature and because are typically present in water samples at parts per million (µg/mL) or even parts per trillion (pg/mL) concentrations.

In this webinar we present a series of solutions with optimized sample preparation and liquid chromatography (LC) coupled with laminar flow tandem mass spectrometry (MS) for the detection and quantitation of several polar water contaminants. We will also discuss how these advances can bring a significant return of investment (ROI) for modernization of your laboratory.

Key Learning Points:

  • New methods for the sensitive, at parts per trillion (ppt), determination of polar contaminants in Water samples
  • Insights into developing analytical methods for determination of glyphosate in water using direct injection-UHPLC-MS/MS
  • How laminar flow tandem mass spectrometry can improve your laboratory operations with reliable results and low instrument downtime while maintaining sample throughputs and high sensitivity

Who should attend:

  • Environmental scientists; R&D managers; lab managers/supervisors; water lab technicians/operators, LC-MS users
  • Academic laboratories performing analytical chemistry research on emerging and existing water contaminants
  • State level or country level testing laboratories responsible for environmental and water analysis in their region
  • Contract testing laboratories performing targeted water contaminants testing
