For many years Thermo Scientific Dionex CarboPac PA100 and PA200 Columns have provided an abundance of information in glycan identification analysis with High-Performance Anion Exchange-Pulsed Amperometry Detection (HPAE-PAD) standalone and with Mass Spectrometry. Wai-Chi has over 34 years in Analytical Chemistry experience in a wide range of techniques (IC, LC, GC, CE, MS, NMR, ICP, FTIR, etc), and has specialized in Ion Chromatography for over 32years. She spent 7 years at Wellcome Research supporting Structural Elucidation for Medicinal Chemists with a total of 20 years in the Pharma industry as part of GlaxoSmith Kline, from research, to transferring methods, to manufacturing. She has worked on and has been responsible for many drugs, from diabetes to anti-virals.

Gemma Ellison is the EMEA marketing manager for ion chromatography, sample preparation and discrete analyzer products. As a former analytical chemist, Gemma’s career began in the pharmaceutical industry building expertise in chromatographic and analytical techniques before joining Thermo Fisher Scientific as an ion chromatography and sample preparation specialist for the UK and Ireland. As a specialist Gemma supported a wide variety of application areas and challenges faced by customers giving her a solid understanding of the solutions required. Gemma holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Chemistry from Sheffield Hallam University.
