Each approach offers distinct advantages depending on the analytical objective.Heart-cutting 2D-LC focuses on selected regions of interest from the first dimension. Only specific peaks or time windows are transferred to the second dimension for further analysis. This approach allows extended separation time and higher resolution in the second dimension, making it particularly suitable for targeted investigations of known critical compounds.
