I have been involved in chromatography since the beginning of my professional career. For the last 26 years, I was working for Waters Corporation in the service department until my departure in 2023. As a service technician, I gained experience in laboratories all over the Czech Republic. Thanks to many years of experience, I can also offer knowledge from older instrumentation, whose official support has already ended. In addition to basic services, I can provide maintenance of chromatography systems, their confirmation and qualification.

Service support of Waters HPLC a LCMS

1. On-site Service of HPLC and LC/MS

Performed the diagnostics, repair and testing after repair.

2. Performance Maintenance of HPLC and LC/MS

The condition evaluation of the chromatography system by performing targeted tests. Proposal for partial or complete maintenance according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Performed tests after maintenance.

3. HPLC and LC/MS systems confirmation, calibration

At the beginning is basic testing of the individual modules of the chromatography system. After that, if necessary or according to request, the maintenance is performed. The required parameters are calibrated. This is followed by tests verifying the basic characteristics of the accuracy and reproducibility of the system and is evalueted as to whether they meet the specification. Certified chemicals and calibrated tools are used to confirm the system.

4. Installation and commissioning of older HPLC and LC/MS systems

In the case of older used chromatographic instruments, their condition is evaluated. If necessary, then their repair, maintenance, or addition of missing components will be proposed. Confirmatory tests including accuracy and reproducibility evaluation characteristics are used for verification. After complete installation and documentation of test results, operator training is carried out. This can be followed by the preparation of the system for targeted application and, in cooperation with application support, the development and optimization of the chromatographic method.

5. HPLC and LC/MS systems qualification

To successfully complete all qualification tests, the system must be in good condition. Therefore, at the beginning, its condition is verified by evaluating its condition since the last maintenance. The maintenance and other tests are performed, such as pressure tests, checking the sensitivity of the detectors, MS charging test, etc. If necessary or according to a previous order, repair/maintenance is performed. During the qualification process, all the necessary parameters are verified, which are then evaluated.

Both the parameters of individual modules (OQ) and the entire system are qualified. Certified chemicals and calibrated tools are used for the system qualification. The customer supplies only the mobile phase.

6. Instruments and software operation training of Waters HPLC and LCMS

The training is provided according to the customer's needs and request.
