Blind common SARMs and related compounds screening

The Blind Common SARMs and Related Compounds Screening is a comprehensive laboratory analysis designed to identify and quantify commonly encountered selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs) and related compounds in oral products and raw active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) powders.

Because this is a blind analysis, there is no need to specify which compound is expected in the sample. The analysis screens for all target compounds listed below and identifies and quantifies every detected substance, including samples containing mixtures of multiple compounds.

About the Target Compounds

Selective androgen receptor modulators are compounds that bind to androgen receptors and are designed to produce tissue-selective androgenic effects. The screening includes RAD-140, S-4, S-23, MK-2866, and LGD-4033. MK-2866, also known as ostarine or enobosarm, and LGD-4033, also known as ligandrol, are non-steroidal SARMs that have been investigated for their effects on muscle, bone, and body composition.

The analysis also covers YK-11 and SR-9009 as related compounds. YK-11 is generally classified as a steroidal androgen receptor modulator, whereas SR-9009 is not a SARM but a synthetic compound associated with REV-ERB signalling. Their inclusion broadens the analysis beyond conventional non-steroidal SARMs.

Products marketed as SARMs may contain multiple active substances, undeclared compounds, or ingredients that differ from those stated on the label. Blind screening therefore enables the detection and quantification of all compounds included in the predefined analytical scope.
