The GW-0742 Analysis is a targeted laboratory test designed to confirm the identity and determine the amount of GW-0742 in oral dosage forms and raw active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) powders.
The analysis is suitable for pills, tablets, and capsules, with results reported in milligrams per tablet or capsule. Raw API powders can be evaluated by percentage content, with optional purity reporting in % (m/m).
GW-0742 is a synthetic research compound that acts as a selective agonist of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor beta/delta (PPAR-β/δ). Activation of this nuclear receptor influences the expression of genes involved in lipid and glucose metabolism, energy regulation, inflammation, and other cellular processes.
Unlike selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs), GW-0742 does not primarily act through the androgen receptor. It has been investigated mainly in preclinical studies examining metabolic, cardiovascular, and anti-inflammatory effects.
Important Notice
- This analysis is specifically intended for GW-0742. It does not automatically screen the sample for other PPAR agonists, SARMs, related compounds, contaminants, or undeclared substances.
- For oral products, the minimum amount of GW-0742 required for evaluation is 2 mg per pill, tablet, or capsule. For raw API powders, the minimum content is 10%. Samples below these values may not be reliably evaluated within the standard scope of the analysis.
- Purity reporting in % (m/m) is available only for raw API powders.
