The IGF-1 LR3 Analysis is a targeted laboratory test designed to confirm the identity, determine the amount, and assess the peptide purity of IGF-1 LR3 in lyophilised vials and raw active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) powders.
For lyophilised samples, results are reported in milligrams per vial together with peptide purity. Raw API powders can be evaluated using mass-by-mass purity in % (m/m) together with peptide purity.
IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 insulin-like growth factor 1) is a modified analogue of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1). It retains activity at the IGF-1 receptor but has substantially reduced affinity for IGF-binding proteins (IGFBPs) compared with native IGF-1.
IGF-1 LR3 has been widely used as a research analogue of IGF-1 in studies of IGF signalling, cellular growth, metabolism, and protein synthesis. Research has shown biological activity in a variety of experimental models.
Important Notice
- This analysis is specifically intended for IGF-1 LR3. It does not automatically screen the sample for native IGF-1, other IGF analogues, related peptides, contaminants, or undeclared substances.
- For lyophilised samples, one whole unopened vial containing lyophilisate is required.
- Raw API powder should be supplied as at least 30 mg in a sealed glass vial to minimise moisture absorption.
- The alternative result format for raw API powders includes both purity in % (m/m) and peptide purity.
