Features

Thermo Scientific Acclaim Mixed Mode WCX-1 HPLC Columns

Separate cationic molecules with powerful adjustable selectivity control using Thermo Scientific™ Acclaim™ Mixed-Mode WCX-1 LC columns. The silica-based stationary phase features a hydrophobic alkyl chain with a carboxyl terminus that provides both hydrophobic reversed-phase and weak cation-exchange properties. This multimode separation mechanism delivers simultaneous separation of basic and neutral compounds. By independently or simultaneously tuning the mobile phase ionic strength, pH, and organic modifier, you can control the selectivity of ionizable and neutral compounds.

Retains and Separates Highly Hydrophilic to Highly Hydrophobic Basic Molecules
  • Multimode retention mechanism: reversed-phase, weak cation-exchange, anion-exclusion, and HILIC modes
  • Selectivity complementary to C18 reversed-phase columns
  • Efficient primary column for a variety of basic analytes; also an ideal column for secondary methods development
  • Versatile in applications that require different selectivities
  • Symmetrical peak shapes and excellent efficiency
  • Stable between pH 2.5 and 7.5
  • Available in 3 and 5μm particle sizes with an average pore diameter of 120Å
