<h4>Your Role:</h4>
<ul>
<li>We have an exciting opportunity for a Lab Support Specialist working on the evening shift 1pm-9pm Monday - Friday on the complex customization of product to customer specification using liquid handling robotics or hand-pipetting skills to adjust concentrations and volumes. You will be trained to support 3 lab departments in performing dilutions, serial dilutions, multiple aliquots and creation of mixed plates according to production schedule and associated work instructions. 
</li>
<li>You will operate and maintain liquid handling robots, perform thorough process checks to ensure correct plate locations and orientation, record run data on QMS paperwork and update database and associated electronic forms with appropriate information. 
</li>
<li>You will also be trained to perform purification of custom synthetic DNA: using HPLC, PAGE, RP and desalting techniques.

<h4>Who you are:</h4>
<ul>
<li>3 GCSE (or equivalent) passes including Mathematics and English
</li>
<li>Good understanding of Maths &amp; Microsoft Excel
</li>
<li>A-level (or equivalent) or Degree in a relevant maths/scientific subject (Desired)
</li>
<li>Some experience of working in a similar environment (manufacturing &amp;/or laboratory) (Desired)
</li>

<h3>LABORATORY SENIOR TECHNICIAN - VITAMINS AND ADDITIVES - CHATTERIS</h3>
<h4>About the Position</h4>
<ul>
<li>Hours Per Week: 40</li>
<li>Days Per Week: Various shift patterns include: Monday to Friday from 1:30pm to 10pm, Tuesday to Saturday from 6am to 2:30pm or Sunday to Thursday from 6am to 2:30pm.</li>
<li>Contract: Full Time &amp; Permanent</li>
<li>Annual Salary: £23,788</li>
</ul>
<h4>Key Responsibilities:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Undertake Vitamin and Additive analysis using HPLC adhering to strict methods and proceedures.
</li>
<li>Train and supervise staff in microbiology methodology and procedures.
</li>
<li>Keep shift supervisors informed of potential errors to testing, deadline deviations, stock shortages.
</li>
<li>Maintain records accurately and within the prescribed timelines.
</li>
<li>Adehere to all quality management and health and safety procedures and protocols.
</li>
<li>Assist in the identification of areas for continuous improvement alongside the laboratory manager.
</li>
</ul>
<h4>About you:</h4>
<ul>
<li>5 GCSE level or equivalent qualifications in Science, English &amp; Mathematics.
</li>
<li>Proficiency in microbiology analysis across a range of methodology and procedures.
</li>
<li>Proficient user of Microsoft Office programs.
</li>
<li>Accuracy and attention to detail.
</li>
<li>Good organisational skills, ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload.
</li>
<li>Good written and verbal communication skills.
</li>
<li>Ability to work and succeed in a team environment.
</li>
</ul>
