<h4>2nd Annual International NETPHARM Conference: From Cutting-Edge Equipment to Excellent Results at the Midpoint of the Project</h4>On 15–16 April 2026, the second annual international conference of the project “New Technologies for Translational Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences” (NETPHARM) took place in Kudowa-Zdrój, Poland. The meeting, attended by more than 100 researchers, confirmed that after two years of implementation the project is successfully fulfilling its ambitious goals in linking basic research with clinical practice.<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/labrulez-bucket-strapi-h3hsga3/Mgr_Martina_Kopecka_Jurcekova_Prof_Petr_Pavek_8db8f7e5f2.jpg" alt="Mgr. Prof. Kateřina Vávrová presented on pharmaceutical and analytical chemistry (RO1), while progress in pharmacology and toxicology (RO2) was summarized by Prof. František Štaud. Prof. Martin Hrubý presented results in the field of novel drug delivery systems and formulations (RO3), and Assoc. Prof. Daniela Fialová (RO4) introduced research in geriatric clinical pharmacy focused on systematic literature reviews, algorithms for individualized pharmacotherapy, and pilot deprescribing interventions. Evaluation of activities in advanced in vitro and in silico approaches in drug development (RO5) was presented by Assoc. Prof. Tomáš Smutný. Schug" srcset="https://storage.googleapis.com/labrulez-bucket-strapi-h3hsga3/thumbnail_Mgr_Martina_Kopecka_Jurcekova_prof_Kevin_A_Schug_b31db2c431.jpg 234w," sizes="100vw" width="1200" height="800"><h4>Key results: 110 publications and investment in infrastructure</h4>The NETPHARM project, funded by the Jan Amos Komenský Operational Programme (OP JAK), achieved significant milestones by early 2026:<ul><li>Interdisciplinary expert team: More than 200 researchers, both experienced and early-career scientists, have been involved in research activities within the project.</li><li>Publications: 110 scientific publications have been produced, the majority of which fall into the Q1 category.</li><li>Dissemination and outreach: The number of contributions at international conferences (195) already exceeds the original plan by 38%.</li><li>Infrastructure: 16 state-of-the-art instruments have been acquired for research laboratories, with a total value of CZK 37.5 million, including an X-ray diffractometer, confocal microscopy, and a computational server.</li><li>Audit: An on-site inspection by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports was successfully completed, confirming the efficient use of grant funds.</li></ul><h4>Strategic recommendations for the future</h4>The conference was followed on 17 April by the 3rd meeting of the ISAB, held in the historic premises of the Carolinum in Prague. The ISAB appreciated the dynamic collaboration among institutions such as Charles University (Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové), the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.labrulez.com/companies/11">University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague</a>, institutes of the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.labrulez.com/companies/10">Czech Academy of Sciences</a> (<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.labrulez.com/companies/62">IOCB Prague</a> and IMC), and <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.labrulez.com/companies/12">Masaryk University</a>/<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.labrulez.com/companies/36">CEITEC</a>. Among the awardees were Ing. Anna Tvrdá, Mgr. Even a perfectly optimized chromatographic separation provides little value if the detection system cannot properly capture and interpret the analytes of interest.In many ways, the detector acts as the “vision system” of the chromatograph. It converts separated compounds into measurable electronic signals, allowing analysts to identify components and determine their concentrations. Samplify™ Is a device which allows unattended sampling of a reaction mixture or bioprocess or continue in line flow by taking small amount of liquid from the monitoring mixture and collecting it in a vial or a 96 wells plate. It also allows to dilute the sample with assigned dilution ratio and can provide reaction quenching to preserve the sample state at time of sampling. It has two main components: an autosampler and a probe. The Samplify™ &nbsp;controlled and setup by a PC software.<h3>Description</h3>It is a common task in the lab to periodically sample a reactor or a fermenter to obtain information about reaction kinetic, completion and have a tangible representation of intermediate states of a dynamic process. This usually done manually with pipettes or syringes, using stopwatch to measure time and requires to be in the lab during the entire process.With Samplify it can be done in automated mode. When an automated sampling process is used it increases accuracy, safety, and productivity. It reduces potential samples cross contamination, and exposure of the reaction mixture to oxygen or moisture, when anaerobic or moisture free conditions are required.<ul><li>Based on a proprietary alpha/beta mechanical configuration, Alltesta Miniature Autosampler and patent pending sample probe offers affordable and reliable automation for many analytical and liquid-handling applications.&nbsp;</li><li>Small controllable volume of sample can be programmed and precisely removed from the enclosed or open system. The sample will then be transferred to a vial with inert solvent with measured volume to create a controllable dilution factor.</li><li>A quench solution can be automatically preloaded in each vial to provide termination of reaction or biological process, and preserve sample content in the time of probing.</li><li>In order to effectively mix samples with diluents or quenching reagents a shaking capability of the autosampler tray can be initiated after each sample cycle.</li><li>PC based software allows quick, but flexible, setup of the sampling experiment. Several preloaded methods can be quickly adapted to a particular needs of the user.</li><li>For temperature sensitive samples the entire autosampler can be placed in the temperature controlled environment.</li><li>The device small size allow to place it close to the reactor and use short connection lines to minimize dispersion.
